Following the recent flooding and landslides in the Himalyan portion of the Uttarakhand state, north of India, we have been asked to locate the isolated villages to facilitate humanitarian NGO's coordination

The white sections, north of the OSM map, correspond to the glacier areas and we should not find villages in such areas. The isolated valleys closed to these glaciers look like green fingers advancing in the direction of these glaciers. These valleys are particularly affected by the mooson and it is where we ask to start to identify the villages.

From there, we ask you to move from the north to the south starting in the central portion of the region, to cover first the more remote areas.
